Saidly: Privacy Policy

Saidly is built to need as little of your data as possible. We do not sell data, ever.

No account. The app does not ask you to sign up and we do not receive your name, email or contact details from it.
Your data stays on your device. What you enter is stored on your device. We run no server that stores it.
Your recordings and transcripts stay on your PC. Saidly transcribes with a speech model that runs on your own computer; it never sends audio or text to us or to anyone else. Transcripts are saved in your Documents folder (Documents\Saidly).
Speech model download. The first time you use a model, Saidly downloads it once from Hugging Face (the public whisper.cpp model files). That request contains no audio and no text, only the model file name. After that Saidly works offline.
Recording uses your microphone and, if you choose it, your computer's sound, only while you press Record. Windows asks your permission for the microphone first.
Server logs. Like any website, clane.app keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page) for up to 14 days to keep the service secure.
No ads and no third-party tracking in the current version. If that changes, this page is updated first and the app will ask for permission as Microsoft requires.
Purchases are handled by Microsoft. We never see your payment details.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Deleting the app removes its data from your device. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected]. We reply within 7 days.
